The Multilingual Funds of Knowledge Book Project
This book project supports parent authors in serving as community leaders by sharing their stories in formal and informal learning settings – including K-12 school classrooms, public libraries, park story walks, community literacy festivals, university courses - to foster understanding, appreciation and connections across cultural and linguistic heritages within the region and beyond. Funds of knowledge is a concept developed by Dr. Luis Moll and colleagues in the 1990s to describe the wealth of experiences and understandings in learner homes to inform school and teacher practices.
